Hi, I'm Sophie
I work as a project manager. A parent. An expat based in Paris, France.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What started as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter in life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn't in the grand plan. Like many expat transitions, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and lots of learning on the job. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built BexmivVexaTovinKoren
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Does And Does Not
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site isn't:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A paid-review platform
- A standard travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sophie
